Hyperion / Overbreaker is a two-track split on Ammunition Recordings, catalogue number AR002, first issued on 12-inch vinyl in 2011. The A-side, “Hyperion”, is a collaboration between Jade and Mastif. The B-side, “Overbreaker”, comes from Engage.
The release notes describe “Hyperion” as opening with a stuttering intro before it turns into a full neurofunk roller, with a heavy bassline and intricate drum and percussion work. “Overbreaker” starts with a synth-heavy intro, then drops into a hard-hitting dancefloor track built on deep bass and quirky synth stabs.
