Lee Scott shapes his verse around the snare-catching cadence he admired in Kool Keith’s “Bring It Down to Earth” by Ultramagnetic MCs—a deliberate nod to a very particular piece of rap craft. Pete Cannon’s beat comes from a batch he made on an Amiga years earlier; Scott says this track was the sole survivor of plans for a nearly completed album. Cannon also handled the mix and mastering.
