Nectax builds Haikyo around jungle’s rhythm-first foundations: amen breaks and exaggerated bass take priority over polish. Named for the Japanese word for “ruins,” the track’s structure gradually decays and rebuilds, giving its four minutes a clear sense of motion rather than relying on a static loop.
The single continues Nectax’s run on Up Ya Archives, where his approach treats jungle history as material for present-day club music. Nia Archives, Tim Reaper and DJ Flight had been playing it in their sets through the summer.
