Neonlight’s sci-fi concept album gets an extended coda here: the original My Galactic Tale was built as a story-driven universe, even accompanied by a comic. Its sound has the scale of an action blockbuster, with bombastic arrangements and hard-driving beats; “Shovel Groove” drops to half-time, while “The Story of Sidus” veers into IDM.
The deluxe second half turns the album over to heavyweight reworks, with State of Mind, Black Sun Empire, Annix and Pythius among the remixers, plus VIPs and a Neonlight rework of “Neon City.”
