IRAH is the stage name of vocalist, rapper and songwriter Ezra Bryant, from Brixton, South London. He grew up around sound-system culture and reggae, and his father’s record collection, which included jazz and reggae, was an early influence. From age 15 to 18, Bryant spent three and a half years in Jamaica. His music blends dancehall with grime and drum and bass, drawing on his upbringing in South London and his formative years in Jamaica.
Chase & Status first connected with IRAH after using an introduction from his comedy project, The REFIX Show, in their sets. He collaborated with the duo on “Program,” which appeared on their album Return II Jungle, and later featured on “Baddadan” with Chase & Status and Bou. He also worked with Chase & Status on the single “Gunfinger (Salute).” His releases include the 2019 Duppy Show EP, and he is known for drum-and-bass, jungle and grime MC work as well as his dancehall vocals. In 2017, he released “Lyrical Weapon” on Hardrive with Terror Danjah.
IRAH’s other collaborations include “Wicked & Dark” with Bou, Kanine and Trigga, and “Bodybag” with Flowdan. His releases have been associated with Digital Soundboy, Warner Records and Elevate Records. Alongside his work as a vocalist, rapper and songwriter, IRAH is a producer and DJ.
