Tempza is a UK drum-and-bass MC and co-frontman of Hybrid Minds, alongside vocalist Charlotte Haining. He has also worked as the resident MC for Spearhead Records. His live vocal support has accompanied Goldie, Andy C, S.P.Y, Ivy Lab, dBridge and The Upbeats, as well as DJ Guv and Turno. Alongside his music work, Tempza spent many years as a technology recruitment specialist and created the streetwear brand Urban Creative Clothing. He has spoken about recovering from gambling addiction and redirecting his attention towards creative work and writing lyrics. Tempza won the Random Concept MC competition around 2007 and the Innovation in the Sun MC competition in 2010.
His releases on Spearhead Records include All Our Years, made with Emba, and Formation. A separate collaboration with Sub:liminal produced Amber Sunlight, while Emba and Cooky joined him for Proper Riddim. Hybrid Minds collaborations include Drama, with Laurence Baker, and Body Bags, which also features homesick. Spearhead Records also released his single Story of a Memory. Tempza is credited as the primary artist on Hybrid Minds’ Mountains and Atmosphere.
Tempza’s recorded work with Charlotte Haining includes Sinner, alongside Gardna, released on Ministry of Sound Recordings in 2024. That year also brought Don't Be, a Tempza and Emba collaboration, and Blueprint, credited to Tempza, Emba and Dread MC. On 9 October 2026, Tempza played at Depot Mayfield. His first event recorded on Resident Advisor was in 2011.
