Artikal Music UK is an independent label based in Belfast, started by J:Kenzo and Mosaix in January 2012 to put out their collaboration "Alone in the Darkness." The founders pressed 200 copies of that first record, and they sold out within days. The label releases drum and bass and deep underground dubstep, picking music that fits its founders' taste rather than following trends or a fixed tempo.
Its roster includes J:Kenzo, Sleeper, Truth and Nomine. In 2014, Artikal Music UK issued its first compilation, a 14-track collection with artists including Skeptical and Thelem, and Mystic State's single "Mahdi" followed in 2019. The team has also run Lion Charge for dub, Dubplate Championz for jungle and drum and bass, and Prestige Cuts for UK garage.
