Digital Soundboy was a London label founded by SHY FX in 2001, releasing drum and bass shaped by jungle, reggae and dub. Its releases also covered dubstep. Breakage, B. Traits and Benny Page were among the artists connected with the label, and Breakage’s single Loved U So came out through it in 2007. SHY FX established the label to bring jungle’s mix of styles back to a scene he felt had become stagnant.
SHY FX handled business and A&R, with roster artists also contributing to the label’s operations. Its early releases came from its founders, before the roster expanded to include artists such as Benny Page and Breakage. Its release activity ended in December 2015. The label resumed in 2021 with Darker Than Blue, a collaborative EP by SHY FX and Breakage, marking its first release after an extended break.
