Goldfat Records operates from Manchester, England, with drum and bass as its focus. Mitekiss established the label in 2015 to issue his own tracks and now runs it alongside Mr Porter. The pair relaunched the imprint in October 2019, opening that phase with a posthumous release from Andy Skopes, “Where I’m From.” Releases span established and emerging artists, and its sound has included soulful, emotive music. Liquid drum and bass has made up most of its releases, though the label stays open to other styles.
Goldfat put out “Moving On,” a 2015 collaboration single by Mitekiss and Mr Porter, and has issued recordings by pyxis, Leniz and Note. Its first Full Fat compilation came out in 2021, and the Nuggets series was launched to showcase emerging drum and bass artists. Alongside its releases, Goldfat holds live events and showcases in locations around the world.
