Influenza Media is a Belgian drum and bass label founded in November 2007 and run by Blue Motion. Its styles include liquid drum and bass and neurofunk, alongside liquid funk and drumfunk. Rollz’s “The Truth / T Bone” was the label’s first digital release, issued on 29 February 2008. The roster has included Bop, Dissident, Sabre and Keeno, whose single “The View” came out in 2011. Its range also takes in jazzstep and intelligent drum and bass.
Influenza Media became a sublabel of Fokuz Recordings in 2012. Its associated imprints include Funk Star Records, IM:Ltd, Influenza Media Digital and Influenza Minus. The label has also put on events and showcases promoting the drum and bass community. A first vinyl release was planned for September 2008, pairing Atlantic Connection’s tracks “Wonderful Life” and “Echo Park.”
