Serial Killaz is the UK jungle and drum & bass duo of Tobie Scopes, who performs as DJ Tera, and Graham Warnock, known as Vital Elements. Formed in 2005, they make reggae-influenced music. They first gained notice with their 2005 remix of Tribe of Issachar’s Junglist for Rebel MC’s Congo Natty label. Their releases and remixes have also appeared on Playaz, Philly Blunt and Urban Takeover, and they have collaborated with Rebel MC, Top Cat, General Levy and Stevie Hyper D.

After making Killa Klash, the duo established Serial Killaz Recordings in 2009 to release the track. They also operate Streetlife Recordings alongside their own Serial Killaz label. Their releases include the 2009 single Mash You Down / Live From Studio 1 on Ganja Recordings, followed in 2023 by Breeze / Come True with Vast on Killa Kollective. That year, We Are The Champions (Serial Killaz Remix), with Isaac Maya and Sleepy Time Ghost, came out on LOWFREQMX. In 2025, Wrap up a spliff (Serial Killaz Remix), with Jah Mason and Mad Sam, appeared on Raider Records.

Serial Killaz have remixed tracks by Nas, Damian Marley, Enter Shikari, Toddla T and Skream, and made a remix of Damien Marley and Nas’s Promised Land for Sony Records. Their remix of Toddla T and Skream’s Streets So Warm came out on Ninja Tune. The duo also worked on music for Toddla T’s live show and nationwide tour with Major Lazer. In album work, they co-produced Top Cat’s Champion Deejay alongside Chase & Status, Benny Page and Serum.

The album Nothing Hurts Like Love, written and produced by Serial Killaz, includes an Original Mix and a Jungle Mix. In 2026, they released Real Ganja Man with Mad Sam on their own label and String Up Di Sound with Killa P on Jungle Cakes. Their performances that year included Lakota on 27 June, XOYO on 29 August and Suburbia on 25 September.

Nick Annand, better known as Deekline, was born in London and began DJing at a youth club before moving into the city’s underground scene. Early on, Annand played drum and bass on pirate radio station Don FM, where pirate broadcasting provided a route into DJing. Early UK garage releases helped launch Deekline’s career into breakbeat and 2-step. The name DJ Dee Kline is also associated with Annand, as is Deekline & Wizard. Deekline has described a musical range spanning bass, UK garage, breaks and jungle, and said that producing across those styles appeals to him.

He later founded Jungle Cakes, a label focused on jungle, and has also been associated with Hot Cakes, Botchit & Scarper, and Giant Pussy Records. His work has moved between breakbeat, breakstep, UK garage, drum and bass and jungle.

Deekline’s collaborations include producers Ed Solo, Wizard and Tim Healey. The partnership with Ed Solo drew on contrasting backgrounds: Ed Solo came from drum and bass and jungle, while Deekline came from garage. The pair co-owned Jungle Cakes, and released EPs under the label’s name. Deekline and Wizard made the album Breaks, Beats and Blondes, while Deekline and Tim Healey released the single “The Mexican”.

In 2024, Deekline remixed Bunnerz on the single “Real Problem (Deekline Remix)”, released through DnB Allstars. The following year, the single “Body Rok” paired Deekline with Dread MC, Freq Nasty and Killa P on Hot Cakes.

Ed Solo, the stage name of British producer Ed Bickley, grew up in east London and was drawn to dance music by pirate radio and acid house. He followed the music through hardcore and jungle into drum and bass, then began working as an assistant engineer at S.O.U.R Records in 1993. There, he learned production and made early releases with label boss Dave Stone as Click & Cycle. Around 1997, Bickley moved to Brighton and began working with DJ Brockie and Undiluted Records. Their tracks included Reprasent, Echo Box and System Check.

With Deekline, Solo established Sludge, a label focused on dubstep, and released music together. The pair also co-founded Jungle Cakes, which Solo said they had started roughly 15 years before his 2024 interview. Jungle Cakes became an outlet for their jungle releases. Solo’s work spans jungle, drum and bass, breakbeat and dubstep, and his associated labels include Emotive Records. His credits also include collaborations with Skool of Thought, Darrison and Krafty Kuts. In 2007, he and Skool of Thought released the album Random Acts of Kindness; his work with Krafty Kuts included the 2006 album Freakshow.

Solo’s later releases include the 2022 single Together 2022 Reloaded Pt.1, made with Dope Ammo, and the 2023 single Chapter One: The Gathering, with A Little Sound and Mandidextrous. In 2024, he released the single Swing My Way (Kleu VIP Mix) with Deekline and Kleu, and said he had started the SUPA SUBS label with Jessi G Shellz. His 2026 single Go All Night features 4K and came out on SUPA SUBS. Other collaborators have included Blak Twang, MC Det, Fatboy Slim, Roots Manuva, Shy FX, DJ Swift, DJ Trace and Elisabeth Troy.

Jungle Cakes is a London-based drum and bass label founded in 2011 by Ed Solo and Deekline. Its releases combine jungle and drum and bass with reggae, dub and breakbeat influences. Benny Page, Serial Killaz, Aries and General Levy are among the artists it has released. Deekline set up the imprint to back well-produced jungle at a time when few such records were coming out.

Its 2014 releases included the compilation Welcome to the Jungle, Vol. 2, numbered JC031, followed in 2015 by General Levy single “The General.” Jungle Cakes also released Deekline and Ed Solo’s “No No No,” featuring vocals by Dawn Penn, which Kissy Sell Out championed on BBC Radio 1.

Serial Killaz revisit “Top Rankin,” the Deekline and Ed Solo tune first featured on Jungle Cakes’ 2014 compilation Welcome to the Jungle. Their remix keeps the track in the label’s reggae- and dub-inflected jungle orbit, with a measured 87 BPM pulse that gives it a weighty, unhurried feel.
