“Obayalo” began as a Dr Meaker and Cappo D riddim, then travelled from Bristol to Teshie, Accra, where Clive Meaker recorded vocals with Ghanaian and Nigerian artists Xrusade and Rebel Stxr. First heard on Dr Meaker’s Distorted Sun, the track gets a new jungle-infused take from Son, Kravitz and Meaker.
The remix is part of Flightcase Recordings’ series reworking the album. Bath duo Son and Kravitz bring a shared production perspective to this Bristol–Ghana collaboration, extending the song’s journey into a fresh sound-system cut.
