DeVice is an imprint launched by Rene LaVice, who also owns the label and works as a DJ, producer and BBC Radio 1 presenter. Emerging in the early 2020s, it focuses on drum and bass, with releases spanning rollers, vocal-led anthems and experimental hybrids. Its output also includes peak-time tracks and music that crosses styles within the bass spectrum.
The label’s first release was “Hollywood,” a March 2020 collaboration between Rene LaVice and S.P.Y. LaVice has issued both solo material and collaborative work through DeVice, which has also released music by Mollie Collins and Aktive. In 2023, the label put out “Only You,” by Jessee and Mila Falls. DeVice has held events and curated showcases, alongside releasing collaborations involving drum and bass artists.
