Korsakov Music grew from the Rotterdam drum and bass event brand founded by Sami and Sacha. It became an official label in February 2018, with Elmar van Eijk managing A&R, and began putting out music that year. Its first release was the compilation Korsakov Compilations Vol. 1, issued in late 2018. The label’s drum and bass output ranges across neurofunk, jump-up, liquid and mainstream styles. After the compilation and a series of EPs, Korsakov Music released Droptek’s debut album, Symbiosis, in April 2019.
Artists associated with Korsakov Music include Phace, Mefjus and The Clamps; Droptek, Phibes and Profit have also released music on the label. In 2024, Profit’s single Thunder / Missing U (Vip) came out through Korsakov Music. The Korsakov events continue alongside the label.
