Liquid V is the liquid drum and bass sister label of V Recordings, launched by Bryan Gee in 2004. Its sound ranges from rare-groove and disco-influenced tracks to atmospheric rollers and deeper, darker minimal records, and its roster has included Calibre, DJ Marky, Artificial Intelligence, Makoto, Logistics and early work by Commix and dBridge.
Lemon D and Roni Size’s “It’s Jazzy / I Can’t Stop” came out on the label in 2009, and in 2014 it celebrated ten years with LV:X – Ten Years of Liquid V, featuring Calibre, Roni Size, Nu:Tone, Peshay, Commix, dBridge and Utah Jazz. Its Club Sessions compilations, run as a separate imprint, have reached a sixth volume, and Random Movement mixed a 25-track compilation for the label. More recent artists include Command Strange, Zar, Sl8r and DJ Andy.
