Souped Up Records began in 2017 as a London drum and bass label founded by Serum and Voltage. Its sound centres on jump-up, with elements of jungle and neurofunk. Serum and Voltage work as DJs and producers, and early label releases featured both alongside Bladerunner. The label grew from the rolling jump-up music Serum made with Voltage and Bladerunner; the three producers also formed Kings Of The Rollers. In 2017, Souped Up Records issued the Serum and Voltage single 8-Bit / Gunfingers.
Souped Up received the Drum&BassArena award for Best Newcomer Label in 2018, following its first year of operation, and was shortlisted for Best Label the next year. The label released music by artists including Original Sin and D*Minds.
