Truth Hertz is a Bristol drum and bass label launched by the duo Ill Truth in April 2023, after they had developed the idea over a long period. They set it up to release a range of drum and bass styles and music by artists beyond themselves, and its output takes in deep and minimal sounds. The opening release was a four-track EP with collaborations involving Bluejay and Creatures.
Other artists on the label include Minor Forms, Coalessant, HLZ and D’cypher, and its Cycles series has given volumes to several producers. The anniversary collections began with Truth Hertz: ONE on May 1, 2024, gathering tracks from the label’s first year. Creatures and ZeroZero released Money & Power EP that year, and Minor Forms’ You Say EP also came out on the label. Truth Hertz: TWO followed on May 2, 2025, marking two years of releases. In 2026 the label issued HLZ’s Gong Show and, on May 1, Truth Hertz: THREE for its third birthday.
