Skankandbass is a drum and bass label that grew out of a YouTube channel for underground drum and bass started by Sebastian Weingartshofer. The project later expanded into a label, a radio show and an event series, with a clear focus on unsigned and newer artists.
Its releases pair intricate drum programming and deep bass with melody and vocals. The Skankandbass Introducing series hands out singles by emerging producers as free downloads; Weingartshofer has said the free releases are meant to get more people listening. Mitekiss put out "Void / Bridge" on the label in 2016, and ATMOS, DRZ and Screamarts have also released there. The 2022 compilation Skankandbass 100 brought a large selection of that music together.
