Yamatai Records is an independent drum and bass label from Bristol, founded in 2021 by James Williams. The project grew out of uploads that started in April 2020 with Williams, Josh and Corrupted Mind; when the other two stepped back, Williams took sole ownership in 2022. The label concentrates on underground drum and bass, mostly liquid and neurofunk, and puts emerging producers first.
R3IDY's single Motion Sickness came out in 2022, and the remix compilation The Foundations Of Yamatai Vol. 1 followed in August 2023 with Waeys and Kyrist among the contributors. The Genesis VA series reached its third, 19-track volume in 2024, and Degs and DKN's Louder / Work arrived in 2026.
