Music-industry professionals established Forbidden Frequencies in 2015, creating a label whose musical focus is drum and bass. Based in Porto, Portugal, the operation also functions as a promotion brand, hosting live events and streams alongside its recorded releases. Artists whose music has appeared on the label include R3IDY, Macca, Melinki and Dunk. Dunk’s single Run Away was issued by Forbidden Frequencies in 2021. R3IDY’s single Inna Dance followed in 2026. The label also runs a free-download series. DIS:TURBED’s track Survey was released through that series as its 26th installment on August 14, 2023.
