“Black Tears” brings Burr Oak, Pythius and REEBZ together as full collaborators, extending a connection first made when Burr Oak remixed Pythius and REEBZ’s “Erase Me” in 2024. This time, all three share the original track on Eatbrain.
The release also carries a small piece of Eatbrain’s shadowy mythology: its announcement casts the Burr Oak as a weeping figure, with a sorrowseer and guardian appearing in the tale. It’s a fitting narrative frame for the label’s dark, cinematic neurofunk world.
