Elvii’s expressive vocal gives “Backfire” an emotional through-line, with lyrics shaped around consequences, truth and reflection. Itro builds around it with rolling drums, textured synths and weighty low end, shifting between spacious melodic passages and harder dancefloor pressure.
The collaboration grew from Elvii reaching out after discovering Itro’s drum & bass work, then developing the track through several versions. The result sits naturally on Vibe Chemistry’s Make Your Era: vocal-led D&B with both a human center and club-ready impact.
