Alpha Pup Records was founded in Los Angeles in 2004 by Daddy Kev and Danyell Jariel. Its releases take in drum and bass, jungle and experimental electronic music within a wider range that includes hip-hop, and its artists include Machinedrum, Krust and DJ Marky alongside yunis and Tsuruda. In 2015 it released Shades, a single by Alix Perez, Eprom and Shades.
Alongside the label, Alpha Pup runs a digital distribution business for independent labels. Its imprints include Non Projects, launched in December 2009 by former intern Brian Simon as a vinyl and download outlet, and The Order Label, which released Falcon's debut album happysadplace on 19 October 2018. Alpha Pup is also closely tied to Low End Theory, the Los Angeles club night at the Airliner, whose music it documented.
