Bowlcut Beats is a London drum and bass label launched in June 2020 by Joe Bowlcut, linked to the clothing brand Bowlcut Garms. Tall Order, who made his debut on its first release, later joined Joe and Jamie Bashington as co-owners. Its sound draws on jungle, dubstep and dancehall.
That first release was “Hold Your Corner” by Dread MC, Kyrist and Tall Order. MLH’s four-track Midnight Minimal EP became its eleventh release in 2021, and Dunk and Teej’s “Jungle Boy” followed in 2023. Teej, Objectiv, Trex, missledz and Jammez are among the other artists on the label, which also puts on club nights and festival showcases.
