Founded in 2003 by dBridge, Exit Records is a UK drum and bass imprint based in London. Its first single paired “Libra” and “The Bride” that year, with “Original World / Tradition” following in 2004. Later releases included work by Skeptical, Alix Perez, Calibre and SP:MC. Beyond drum and bass, its releases take in garage, hip hop and experimental electronics; in 2007, Black Pocket releases explored jazz-inflected broken beat.
The label’s releases include the compilations Mosaic Vol. 1 (2011) and Mosaic Vol. 2 (2013), the Richie Brains project’s 2016 album Who Is Richie Brains, and dBridge’s 2019 LP Lingua Franca. Black Pocket was an alias of Steve Spacek. Exit Records holds events and showcases with artists and sounds from varied fields. dBridge and Instra:mental’s Autonomic project included a club night and podcast series, alongside a short-lived label. Exit marked its 100th release in 2024 with the four-part “EXIT100” series.
