Mainframe Recordings is a Vienna-based label for drum and bass, established in 2008 by Daniel Fürst Zoffel, who is known as Disaszt. The Mainframe party series preceded the label, starting in Vienna in 2002 at WUK and later relocating to Arena. The label was set up to promote Austrian drum-and-bass producers and support local talent, while also issuing music by artists from other countries. A.M.C, The Prototypes and Maztek are associated with Mainframe, alongside Camo & Krooked and Fourward, whose early work appeared on the label.
Mainframe Recordings releases drum and bass music and stages events and showcases internationally. Its releases include the 2010 compilation Above & Beyond, the 2018 release Mainframe 100 and 17 Years of Mainframe, issued in 2019. Mainframe 100 marked both the label’s hundredth release and its first decade. In 2008, the label issued Camo, Krooked and Receptor’s single Vision / Flash. Mainframe Soldiers and Bass Infection are sub-labels.
