Neuroheadz was founded in Bristol in January 2022 by Ben Killey, Mike Simpson and Albi Alexander. The drum and bass label also involved DJs Andrew Parsonage and Harry Agg, and grew from friends’ neurofunk events in the Bristol area. Its releases span dark, brooding rollers and high-energy dancefloor tracks, with a focus on neurofunk and drum and bass. The first release was “Heist” by Suspect and SETE in summer 2022; the label’s first Headz Up compilation followed in March 2023. FractalOne’s Overton Window / Deep State arrived that May, and Neuroheadz placed third in the Best Newcomer Label category at the 2023 Drum&BassArena Awards.
Music on the label has come from artists including Audio, Mandidextrous, Zombie Cats and Mob Tactics. Neuroheadz issued Akrom and Splash Heads’ “Tortex” in 2024, followed by Audio’s “Way Of Life” in 2026. Alongside releasing records, it has held live events and parties at clubs and festivals around the world, beginning its event activity with a launch party at Bristol’s Loco Klub featuring Prolix and other DJs.
