Soul Trader Records operates as an independent drum and bass label, founded in 2014 by DJ Surplus. It is part of the Fokuz Recordings family and releases work by both emerging and established artists. Its sound combines drum and bass with soul, jazz and funk, while its musical focus also covers liquid and deep styles. Releases by Satl, Malaky and Silence Groove are among those issued by the label.
In 2015, the label put out Our Little Secret EP, a single credited to Dave Owen, Simplification and Translate. Its 2022 compilation Soul Trader Recap 2022 was released on December 21. Another compilation, Best Of 2025 - Soul Trader Records, arrived on December 18, 2025.
