The first entry in Neuropunk Forge, a series built to spotlight rising Russian drum & bass artists, pairs ChaseR and Fatloaf with Subminderz and Gydra. ChaseR’s “Wicked” sets cinematic pads against a snapping, skittering drum pattern and a whiplash bassline; “Sick State,” made with Subminderz, turns to an eerie vocal sample and deep, grinding low end.
Fatloaf’s “Samurai” threads an echoing taiko-like boom through a shadowy melody, then Gydra’s closing VIP version intensifies its bass and drives the drums harder.
