Jade’s Awake EP takes Eatbrain’s neurofunk sound in several directions: the title track leans into haunted, playful sci-fi, while “Highlander,” made with State of Mind, shifts toward a future-rave feel. “Not Safe” offers a more poised counterpoint.
“Man Eating Lizard Dragon” is the left turn: a slower, chunky tech experiment that pushed beyond the EP’s drum-and-bass frame and helped open up new territory for the label.
