Adelaide duo V O E make their Viper debut album a showcase for the range they’ve built across years of singles and EPs: vocal-led drum & bass moving between liquid melody and harder neurofunk weight. Caroline’s expressive vocals and Tom’s production give the record a strong song-focused centre, while the drops hit with plenty of force.
“Don’t Leave” softens the edge with piano, “Vortex” turns dark and gritty, and “Patient War” brings electric-guitar riffs into the mix. The album closes on the more reflective “Distance.”
