Disturbed is a drum and bass label founded in June 2003 by Marko Russiver and Teddie Wardi. The independent operation is based in Estonia and Finland, with a dancefloor focus spanning melodic, deep and soulful music alongside harder, experimental forms. Its debut paired Brain and Fee.Nix-Z, joined by MC Puma, on “Tear-Red”; Fee.Nix-Z also contributed “Woody.” Paperclip’s “Digital Machinist / Monochrome Face” appeared through the label in 2012, followed by Instinkt’s “Cross Grain EP” in 2015. Other artists with releases on the label include L 33, Subformat, Cruk and Merikan.
Mentally Disturbed was created as a sub-brand for drum and bass with more demented, deranged sounds. Cooh’s “Record The Silence EP” opened the imprint on November 11, 2008.
