UKF was founded by Luke Hood in 2009, starting as two YouTube channels for dubstep and drum and bass before developing into a record label. Hood moved to London in 2010 and partnered with AEI Music; that year, UKF began its label activity with the digital compilations UKF Dubstep 2010 and UKF Drum & Bass 2010. The wider operation has since included editorial and live events alongside its releases, spanning bass music styles from drum and bass to dubstep.
Netsky, Camo & Krooked and Dimension are among the label’s roster, alongside artists including Kanine. UKF released Flite’s single Progression in 2017. Its Pilot imprint has issued bass music, while the main label’s output also includes work by artists such as Koven and Mefjus. In 2012, UKF won Best Really Big Party at Belgium’s Red Bull Elektropedia Awards. UKF Music is an electronic music brand based in the United Kingdom, with its base in London.
