Flexout Audio began in 2011, founded by London-based DJ and promoter Bassi after he started underground club nights at the University of Lincoln. The label was later established with Kronic in memory of their friend John. Its drum and bass spans tech roller, minimal, atmospheric, deep and dark styles. Core contributors include Amoss, Arkaik and Belgian trio Bredren; Charli Brix has also released music on the label. Ed:it’s single Coexistence came out in the label’s founding year. Flexout marked its tenth anniversary in 2021 with a run of releases and a party at The Steel Yard in London.
Flexout Audio has presented showcases at venues across Europe. The label launched Onyx as a series for new talent, and Waevs is another imprint under its name. Marcel Bößendörfer became a co-owner in 2023.
