Brain makes his Dispatch debut with a dark, acid-streaked set drawing on drum & bass, early breakbeat, techstep and techno. The title track pairs stripped-back breaks and rolling bass with Latin American percussion, while the collaborations give the EP distinct turns: Gui brings a tech-led acid edge to “Fossil,” Spel joins Brain on “Petra de Pangea,” and “Zenith” pushes into punk-inflected neurofunk with Leks.

“Eon” closes on a more minimal, rolling note, with the rawness of Brain’s hardcore punk and metal roots running through the collection.
